Anna was born in the Netherlands but spent some time in Germany while growing up. She started out studying chemistry at Radboud University Nijmegen. After a while, however, she found that she preferred a more applied and tangible approach to science, so she transferred to the Food Science and Technology program at Wageningen University.
After graduating, she moved to Canada, where she started Truthful Food while working as a freelance product developer and scientific writer.
Anna is very passionate about food and nutrition and tries to get others excited about these subjects. She does so, by creating educational content that is easily accessible, understandable and relatable.
In 2021, she finished her Food Nutrition and Health degree at University College Dublin and is now working full-time as a Scientific Writer and Educator.
