One of the most disappointing things that can happen when you have spent an hour or so in the kitchen, trying to make something delicious, is your creation sticking to the bottom of the pan. You can grease the inside before you fill the baking pan or you can use a knife to cut along the sides before you try to get out whatever it is you are making.

Whenever I bake or cook something with eggs, I make sure they are still fresh before adding them to the rest of the ingredients. I did not always use to do this, but I learned the hard way (by adding a bad egg to a bowl, filled with amazing ingredients) that it is better to be safe than sorry.

Fun Food Fact! Not all sugar is the same. What we call sugar, is a group of small carbohydrates with a sweet taste. There are several types of these small carbohydrates. When you are reading a nutrition label, and you see for instance fructose, galactose, glucose, lactose, maltose or sucrose listed, you know there is sugar in the product you are looking at. It is also possible that an ingredient, almost entirely comprised of sugar is listed without the word ”sugar” ever being mentioned. A few examples of such ingredients are honey, syrup and fruit butter.
